Laboratory services

The analytical laboratory of Fosfan SA provides services related to the following:

• analysis of solid and liquid mixed fertilisers
• analysis of raw materials (ammonium sulphate, potassium sulphate, magnesite, potassium chloride, boric acid, borax, MAP, DAP, apatite, phosphorite, dolomite, ammonium chloride, copper sulphate, zinc sulphate, iron sulphate, phosphoric acid)
• analysis of other materials (raw materials, aggregate, chemicals) – the scope of the analysis must be agreed upon with the Laboratory Manager in advance

Upon the request of the client, the laboratory conducts tests of the granulation of fine material mixtures in a rotary drum granulator (using various binders).

The laboratory conducts its determinations using conventional analytical methods – gravimetry and titrimetry – in addition to instrumental analysis. These methods are used to determine the content of P2O, MgO, CaO, Fe2O3, SO3 and Cl–

The samples for the analyses are dissolved using methods consistent with Regulation 2019/1009 of 5 June 2019 laying down rules on the making available on the market of EU fertilising products and amending Regulations (EC) No 1069/2009 and (EC) No 1107/2009 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003.

To ensure maximum reliability of the results of the analyses, the laboratory carries out tests of conformity and accuracy through comparative analyses with other laboratories, including accredited bodies. The tests are performed using certified chemical standards and certified reference materials.
